For the Beef:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (gluten-free if needed)
- 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Salad:
- 1 large head romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1–2 avocados, sliced
- 1 small red onion, diced
- 1 heaping cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup dill pickle slices, or more as desired
- Sesame seeds (garnish)
For the Special Sauce Dressing:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp. white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. pickle juice
- 1 Tbsp. pickle relish
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Pinch of paprika
Instructions
- Cook the Beef:
Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the ground beef until no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Add the Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine, then remove from heat. - Make the Dressing:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, pickle juice, pickle relish, sugar, salt, pepper, and paprika until well combined. - Assemble the Salad:
In a large salad bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced avocado, diced red onion, shredded cheddar cheese, and dill pickle slices. Top with the seasoned ground beef and garnish with sesame seeds. Serve with the special sauce dressing on the side, or toss the salad with the desired amount of dressing. Enjoy!
